What we collect
When you request a quote or make a claim through us, we collect the information you give us, which may include:
- Your name, phone number, email and address
- Vehicle details and photos of damage
- Details of the accident and of other people involved (such as the other driver’s name, registration and insurer)
- Driver licence details needed for a replacement car
- How you found our website (for example, which search or ad you came from)
Why we collect it
- To assess, quote and manage your repair
- To arrange collection, return and any replacement car
- To make and manage claims with insurers on your behalf
- To contact you about your job
- To understand which of our marketing works
Who we share it with
Only the people needed to do the job: our partner repair workshops, our sister company National Hire Car (for replacement cars), insurers involved in your claim, assessors, and service providers that help us run the business (such as email and IT providers). We don’t sell your information.
Analytics and cookies
We use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to understand how people use this website (for example which pages are visited and where people click), so we can improve it. These tools use cookies and similar technologies. Clarity masks what you type into forms. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing hello@crashrepairsmelbourne.com.au. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
