The basics
How does it work if you don’t have your own workshop?
You deal with us from start to finish. We assess the damage, quote, collect your car (or arrange a drop-off), manage the repair with one of our trusted partner workshops, keep you updated and return your car. The partner workshop does the hands-on repair; we’re responsible for looking after you.
Do I really pay nothing if the accident wasn’t my fault?
When the other driver is at fault, they’re insured and their insurer accepts liability, the repair and replacement car costs are recovered from their insurer — not you. We check the details before you sign anything and explain what happens if a claim isn’t accepted.
Who supplies the replacement car?
Replacement cars are supplied by our sister company, National Hire Car. We match the car to yours as closely as the fleet allows.
Are you an insurance company?
No. We’re an independent repair and accident management business. We’re not owned by or affiliated with any insurer, and we act for you.
Can I drop my car off instead?
Yes. Most people like us to collect, but if dropping it off suits you better, just tell us when you send your quote request and we’ll arrange a time and place.
Which areas do you collect from?
Greater Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Geelong. If you’re unsure, send your address with your quote request and we’ll confirm.
Can I use you if I was at fault?
Yes. We can repair your car through your own insurer (most policies let you choose your repairer) or as a private job with a written quote first. We keep you on the road at all times, so we’ll also give you a courtesy car while yours is repaired. Some policies include a hire car after an at-fault accident too.
How do I get a quote?
Use the online form — tell us what happened and upload a few photos. We’ll come back to you with your options and an estimate.
What if my car isn’t driveable?
Tell us when you contact us. We can arrange for it to be moved to a partner workshop. If a tow truck has already taken it, let us know where it is.
Not-at-fault claims & replacement cars
Is it really no cost to me?
When the other driver is at fault and insured and their insurer accepts liability, the repair and replacement car costs are recovered from their insurer — you don’t pay them. We check liability and insurance details before you sign anything, and explain what happens if a claim isn’t accepted.
Do I need to tell my own insurer?
Check your policy — many require you to tell them about any accident even if you don’t claim. Telling them is different to making a claim on your policy.
What if the other driver says it was my fault?
Disputed accidents are assessed on the evidence — photos, dashcam footage, witnesses and the type of collision. Send us what you have and we’ll give you an honest view of whether a not-at-fault claim is likely to succeed.
Can I choose where my car is repaired?
Yes. As the not-at-fault party you’re entitled to have your car repaired properly — you don’t have to accept the at-fault insurer’s repairer.
Are you my insurer or theirs?
Neither. We’re an independent repair and accident management business. We act for you, not for any insurer.
Do I pay anything for the replacement car?
When you’re not at fault, the other driver is insured and their insurer accepts liability, the hire is recovered from their insurer. You’re responsible for things like tolls, fines and fuel during the hire, and for damage caused while you’re using the car — the agreement explains the excess. We go through it with you before you sign.
Can I get a replacement car if I was at fault?
Yes — we offer courtesy cars to at-fault drivers too, because we keep you on the road at all times (subject to availability on the day). We’ll explain any cost before you take it. Some comprehensive policies also include a hire car after an at-fault accident, so check yours too.
How fast can I get a car?
Once liability and the other driver’s details are confirmed, we aim to get a car to you as quickly as possible, often the same day. Call us early — the sooner we know, the sooner you’re moving.
Repairs & costs
Do you have your own workshop?
We work with trusted partner workshops across Melbourne rather than a single shop. We collect your car (or you can drop it off), manage the repair from start to finish and return it to you — you deal with us the whole way through.
How much do smash repairs cost?
It depends on the damage, the parts and the paint work involved. If you’re not at fault and the other driver is insured, their insurer pays. Otherwise we give you a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises.
How long does a smash repair take?
Minor cosmetic work can be quick; structural repairs and jobs waiting on parts take longer. We give you an estimate with your quote and keep you updated by text, and we’ll aim to have you in a replacement car in the meantime.
Can I still use you if I’m claiming on my own insurance?
Usually, yes. Most comprehensive policies let you choose your own repairer, though some policies limit this or set conditions. Check your policy wording or ask your insurer — we’re happy to help you work it out.
Are you a panel beater or a booking service?
We’re the business you deal with: we inspect, quote, collect (or take your drop-off), manage the repair and return your car. The panel and paint work itself is carried out by our partner workshops, and we stay responsible for looking after you through the whole job.
Do you collect from my suburb?
We collect across Greater Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Geelong. If you’re on the edge of those areas, send us your address and we’ll confirm — or you can drop the car off.
Can I get a quote from photos?
Yes. Clear photos of the damage from a few angles plus one of the whole car let us give you a good estimate. We confirm the final quote once the car has been inspected, before any work starts.
Do you repair all makes?
Yes — everyday cars, SUVs, utes and vans. For prestige and specialist vehicles, tell us the make and model when you send photos and we’ll match the job to a workshop suited to it.
Crashed? Let’s get you sorted.
Send a few photos and the details. We’ll tell you your options, collect the car (or you drop it off) and take it from there.
